In this webinar, Prof. Pavord & Dr. Couillard will discuss the concept of "treatable traits" in severe asthma, and give their view on how asthma-related risks can be predicted.

Ian Pavord is Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Honorary Consultant Physician at the University of Oxford. He has pioneered the use of non-invasive measures of airway inflammation, discovered asthma biomarkers, and lead the clinical development of several biologic asthma treatments. Prof. Pavord is the 2nd highest cited researcher in asthma worldwide. 

Simon Couillard, MD, is a Canadian specialist in respiratory medicine and a clinical teacher at the Université de Sherbooke. He finished a two-year clinical research fellowship in severe asthma with the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Pavord, and has started a joint Oxford-Leiden PhD on risk prediction in asthma.
